Being a solopreneur teaches us many things in business whether it can be the technicality of the business or something it requires for business. I can’t describe it in words. It can be mentality or attitude or mindset or philosophy. Whatever it is, It is truly awesome. In this article, I like to share some of the things I learned in my journey of doing business.
Positive mindset about sales:
Sales are the backbone of the business. A Good amount of sales will fix everything in your business. When I get a sale, It gives me a tremendous amount of happiness and a boost to move forward. But some days I didn’t get any sales. Those days I got some kind of stress running in my head and I think about how to go forward further. Putting work for all days even without results on some days is very hard.
In recent days I have handled those situations with the following mindset and always try to keep my discipline every day to put in effort.
For example, We can get 10 sales for 10 days in business or we can’t get any sales until 9 days and will able to get all the 10 sales on the 10th day (10 sales in 1 day). Both are the same and both things are possible in business. This thought helps me to move forward. If I got sales all day that’s great or If I didn’t get any sales for some days I will push myself towards to achieve the 10th day.
Reality of improvements in business:
In business, one of the parts is we have to constantly improve everything whether it can be products or service or marketing or content creation. Daily I work towards improving my business and also its reach. Sometimes I felt like, All the things I had done so far were nothing I had to do more for upcoming days. When I felt like this I got exhausted, Oh no I got to do everything all over again. sometimes it felt like I had to start again all things from scratch.
Later this thought became normal to me. When I have felt like this, Now I feel like I am going to upgrade all the things I did. I realized this is what growth looks like and it is normal.
Also, the work we did previously is not wasted because the success we get today is the compounding efforts of works we did previously and now
Importance of having a productive system:
In previous days of my business, I handle my tasks with a physical notepad or digital note-taking. I didn’t use any proper tools or a system to manage my tasks and information. After I learned about Notion and started creating the Notion template. I created my personal productivity system using Notion. So I can streamline my tasks and content creation and other business thing very effectively. Overall my productivity improved a lot instead of remembering everything and jumping between the tasks having your own productivity system provides better relief in task handling and progress. So instead of thinking about the tasks all day, I can freely think about what I can improve and what I can implement new
